About the Treatment

Medical Peel,
Brightened Result

VI Peel is a medical-grade chemical peel formulated specifically for noticeable resurfacing without the harsh recovery of traditional medium-depth peels. TCA, retinoic acid, salicylic acid, phenol, and vitamin C — combined to lift pigmentation, smooth texture, and reset skin in a single session.

Application takes about 30 minutes. Light peeling begins around day 3 and resolves by day 7 — manageable with moisturizer, SPF, and mineral makeup. Initial brightening is visible after peeling, with pigmentation and texture continuing to refine over 2–4 weeks. Most clients schedule 3–4 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart for optimal results, then maintain every 3–6 months.

  • Activates collagen and elastin renewal
  • Restores firmness and bounce
  • Softens fine lines and refines texture
  • Treats face, neck, and body
  • Safe across every skin type
  • Minimal downtime, surgery-free

— Is This Right For You?

Who VI Peel Is For

VI Peel is one of the most versatile medical peels available — formulated for everything from hyperpigmentation to acne. Here’s when our team typically recommends it.

01

Hyperpigmentation & melasma

Sun spots, post-acne marks, melasma, or uneven skin tone. The VI Peel formulation includes targeted ingredients (TCA, salicylic acid, phenol, vitamin C) that lift pigmentation while encouraging fresh, even skin to surface.

02

Active acne & breakouts

Active acne, congested pores, or recurring breakouts. The VI Peel Purify formulation includes salicylic acid to unclog pores, calm inflammation, and reset acne-prone skin without the stripping effect of harsher treatments.

03

Fine lines & dullness

Early fine lines, lackluster tone, or skin that has lost its radiance. The peel exfoliates the dull outer layer to reveal brighter, smoother skin underneath — boosted by collagen-stimulating ingredients that work over the following weeks.

04

Pre-event reset

You have an event in 3–4 weeks and want fresh, even, glowing skin. A single VI Peel timed correctly delivers brightened tone and softened texture — peeling resolves in about a week, leaving skin event-ready.

What to Expect

Your VI Peel journey

VI Peel works in five steps — from prep through full reveal. Each step is performed by a board-certified provider in our Cranston, Rhode Island studio.

  1. Step 01

    Consultation

A conversation about your skin goals — pigmentation, acne, texture, or pre-event prep. We assess your skin tone and history to choose the right VI Peel formulation for you (Original, Precision Plus, or Purify).

  2. Step 02

    Prep & cleanse

Skin is double-cleansed and prepped with a degreasing solution to ensure even penetration. We protect sensitive areas (lip corners, nostrils) and confirm your comfort before starting.

  3. Step 03

    Application

The peel solution is applied in 3–5 layers over about 15–20 minutes. You may feel mild tingling or warmth that resolves on its own. The skin will appear slightly tan/yellow for the first 24 hours — that is normal.

  4. Step 04

    Peeling phase

Light peeling begins around day 3 and resolves by day 7. Use the take-home aftercare kit (cleanser, moisturizer, SPF, retinoic acid sachets). Avoid picking — let skin shed naturally.

  5. Step 05

    Reveal & maintenance

Brightened, smoother skin emerges around day 7. Pigmentation and texture continue refining over 2–4 weeks. Most clients schedule subsequent sessions 4–6 weeks apart, with maintenance every 3–6 months.

VI Peel FAQ

VI Peel is a medical-grade chemical peel by Vitality Institute. The formulation includes TCA, retinoic acid, salicylic acid, phenol, and vitamin C — calibrated to deliver real resurfacing results without the harsh recovery of traditional medium-depth peels. Multiple variants exist (Original, Precision Plus, Purify) tailored to different concerns.
The peel solution is applied to clean skin in 3–5 layers. You’ll feel mild tingling or warmth for 2–3 minutes that resolves on its own. The whole application takes 15–20 minutes. No downtime during the session itself.
Light peeling typically begins on day 3 and resolves by day 7. It looks like skin sloughing in small flakes — not the dramatic peeling of older-generation peels. Most clients can manage with light moisturizer and SPF; you can wear mineral makeup after day 1.
Single sessions deliver visible results, but for hyperpigmentation, melasma, or acne scars we typically recommend 3–4 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart. Most clients schedule maintenance every 3–6 months.
Initial brightening is visible by day 7 once peeling resolves. Pigmentation correction and texture improvement continue refining over 2–4 weeks as fresh skin matures.
Yes. VI Peel is one of the few medium-depth peels formulated to be safe for Fitzpatrick I through VI. We may pre-treat with melanin-suppressing topicals for clients with deeper skin tones to ensure even results.
VI Peel is a chemical exfoliation — solutions applied to skin trigger controlled peeling. MOXI is a laser treatment delivering fractional energy in microscopic columns. They address similar concerns through different mechanisms; we sometimes alternate or combine them for maximum effect.
Most healthy adults with hyperpigmentation, melasma, acne, or texture concerns are candidates. VI Peel is not recommended during pregnancy, with active cold sores, or recent isotretinoin use within 6 months. We’ll review your skin history and goals during a complimentary consultation.
